Il vas en France avec sa femme.

Today the French channel mentioned about President's Sarkozy wife as son épouse.

It should be sa épouse. Is it correct?

ok, you have to write "il va en France..."
we use "son épouse" because épouse begins by a vowel.
for example :
une écharpe ; son écharpe
une allumette ; son allumette
And to be correct : Il va, no "s". thir person singular never carries a "s" : je vais, tu vas, il va.
Better said, avec son épouse (his wife)
"His wife" would sound in your sentence the same as "his woman".
