i never heard this before.  it means "to b very fond of..."

is this used?  Tx

yes, not every days but nobody would be amazing hearing "friand de".

"des friandises" is how I am familiar with this word .

friandises yes.

and "friands aux fromages (à la saucisse, ...)"  = hummmm delicious. Like a pasty with a flaky pastry.
