agent de maîtrise

I was looking up the word "supervisor" and it's expressed many ways according to the environment. "agent de maîtrise" was cited w/o a context. When would this be used?

I don't know that one but contremaître means foreman.

I've never heard it before, but apparently it is used in France when you have "bac+4" studies. It's between qualified technician and executive, and that personn would usually be responsible for a team.
