am i correct to translate "Tu en as saigne beaucoup, fils?"

which is answered by:"Je n'ai pas eu le temps"

as "Have you made them bleed much, son?"

in the context of a group of condemned resistants telling each their story in the cell where they're being kept until execution in the morning; a young man has been telling them about his history as a prisoner and as a member of the group that buried the machine guns left behind when the french army withdrew, so that the germans wouldn't get them; the question is being asked by another, older man.
