Is it proper to use the French word racheter?

I have no coffee left, I have to buy some more.

Je suis un des rares à aimer la pluie.
Is the above fine?
I am one of the few people who like rain.

What is wrong with the above?

Acheter means to buy.
Crack -- absolutely nothing. The word racheter emphasises the idea of buying "more", or buying something "again". But it's just a question of nuance really-- your sentence is correct.
