Simple translation from English to French?

Hello,

I am wondering if a native French-speaker can "properly" translate this into French. (It is for a friend.)

I have tried to translate it myself, but my translation seems to be somewhat incorrect when I read it back to myself.

This letter gives authority to [my friend's name here] to act in behalf regarding our house while we are absent. This authorization is valid from June 23, 2012 until September 2, 2012.

[My friend and my wife]

Pour ceux qu'il concerne

Cette lettre donne l'autorité à _______________ d'agir en notre nom en ce qui concerne notre maison pendant notre absence.

Cette autorisation est valide à partir du 23 Juin 2002 jusqu'au 2 Septembre 2012.
