i know the first in the sense of breaking into a house.  the 2nd is the equivalent of "to mug" (on the street).  i saw "braquer" for the first time.  is this the general term?  do u "braquer" a bank?

"Paris : braquage au Ritz, plus de 4 millions d’euros de bijoux volés"

You can clearly "braquer"  a large hotel. Not too familiar with the usage  apart from that.
