Hello!

I am trying to come up with a neat (short) French translation of "We mean business" and "we are serious about European business".

So far, I've come up with:

"Nous prenons les affaires au serieux"

and

"Les affaires europeenes: nous les prenons au serieux"

What do you think?  Any good ideas?

merci beaucoup

I'm not sure about the translation of "We mean business".

But for your second sentence, "Les affaires européennes : nous les prenons au sérieux" sounds like a catchphrase for an add to me. You can simply say "Nous prenons les affaires européennes au sérieux".

I think that's the point -- they want to translate the catchphrase for their ad!

precisement, Neil!   Although actually it's not an ad, it's a line in an internal video we're making.

Don't suppose anyone knows the same translation in Polish, German, Dutch and Croatian do they? ;)
