I'm explaining to my French class how to draw a horse for a presentation, and I want to say there should be a slight curve to the body. How would I say "there"? Il devait?

Thanks in advance!

When "there" is just a 'dummy' filler at the beginning of the sentence ("there is...", "there appeared..." etc) then the usual equvialent in French is to use il.

So to say "there should be...", you could say: il doit y avoir...
