Can you please tell me what a word often used on the television show, "Frasier", means--it sounds something like it would be spelled "jeurjune"? I think it may mean something like "commonplace" or "boring" or something similiar to that.

I really can't think of any French word sounding like "jeurjune"...
Would it be possible to have the audio recording of it, or maybe a sentence in which it was used?
As another Frasier fan, I think it might be ' jejune', which is described in the Merriam Webster dictionary as being derived from the Latin word 'jejunus' meaning 'childish' or 'empty.'

Al
Thank you, Al!!!! That fits the situations where the word was used on the show, too, so I think you must be absolutely correct!!!

Thank you so much, and you have a good evening!!!
Kathryn
Wait... I'm not following. Where you looking for a French word or and English word?
Marc, I think the pronunciation (zhih zhoon) probably fooled the enquirer into thinking it was French. I did too, until I looked it up.

Regards,
Al
