translation

am i right in translating "ampoules" as fluorescent bulbs" in the following sentence:

"Mais la nuit, a la clarte des ampoules due plafond, Lemasque voit..."

Hello Isabelle,

"ampoules" are traditional light bulbs. Fluorescent bulbs are usually called "néons".
