Tattoo

Hi, I was just wondering if you guys could give me the proper french way to write down:

"quand les riches se font la guerre, ce sont les pauvres qui meurent."

In french as I would love to get it as a quote on my arm for a tattoo but I am not clued up on french enough to know the right way to write it.

I want it writen the right way as I way to respect the langue as much as possible.

I would rather say:
"Quand les riches s'affrontent, seuls les pauvres trinquent"
or
"Dans les guerres qui opposent les puissants, seuls les pauvres périssent".

The only capital letter would be the "Q" in "quand." French isn't like German; it doesn't capitalize nouns that aren't proper names. Of course, you can always find the Satre quote in french and use his spelling.

Je dois avouer mon inculture totale (et consternante) sur ce coup.
Si la citation avait été « Misère ! Misère ! C'est toujours sur les pauvres gens que tu t'acharnes obstinément », j’aurais su d’où ça venait et me serais abstenu d’intervenir.

Cela dit ce site est assez remarquable car j’en apprends très régulièrement sur ma propre langue, alors qu’initialement je voulais juste améliorer mon niveau en anglais ; merci Neil !

Mais indéniablement le style est tout de suite moins soutenu que celui de Sartre.

Le style est effectivement moins soutenu mais dans, les 2 cas, le propos est toujours d'actualité... Mais là c'est un autre problème.
