Il croit avoir la science infuser.
I found the above in a dictionary.
The meaning is ' He thinks he knows everything.'

I am very surprised because those words 'science' and 'infuser' have totally different meanings.
Please tell me.

La science infuse

Think about a bag of tea in clear water... After a little while, the tea is everywhere in the water.
We'd say le thé infuse dans l'eau.

Now think about that tea being science and your brain being water.
Thanks Frank
I just think of literal English translation. You can't guess the meaning.

3] Il croit qu'il tout sait.
4] Il croit qu'il tout connait.

He thinks he knows everything.

How about my 3rd and 4th sentences?
Please tell me.
Il croit qu'il sait tout.
Il croit qu'il connait tout.

C'est monsieur je-sais-tout (he's a smartass).
Oh! Frank
Both of my sentences connotes some meaning borders 'smartass'.
So French is difficult if you are not born with the language like you.
