Seeking translation of phrases from Anais Nin....

Dear All:

I'm a painter who plans to use brief quotes from Anais Nin in several pieces I'm working on.

Here are the phrases I hope to learn translations of:

1) "High fever and no climax."

2) "A delirious goring, a goring without pain" ---This is in the Elena story in 'Delta of Venus', about 25 pages in. Paragraph begins "When his fever rose..."

3) Diary Volume 2, 1934-39, page 152...(January 1937)

With hammer and nails, paint, soap, money, typewriter, cookbook, douche bags, I created a dream.

(1) Une fièvre élevée et aucun point culminant.

(2) Une éventration (not quite identical) délirante,une éventration sans douleur.

**I think you can say either "livre de recettes " (recipe book) or "livre de cuisine" (cook book)

Sorry I can't find the word or expression for "douche bags". Google gives "sacs douches vaginales" but I don't know if that is accurate or not.

Anais Nin died in 1977.

I had the impression that "douche bags" was a modern term of abuse but maybe I was wrong.

But if I do a search on " Anais Nin 'douche bag' " it seems to show that she did use the term in her other writing

"I do see the pessaries, the douche bag, the wax earplugs melting on the pillow because otherwise Huck's and Henry's snoring keeps me awake. I know my heart"
