are repousser and reporter interchangeable?  and when are renvoyer and remettre used?

I think postpone is if we have a meeting today and you can't come, so you call to suggest another date in the future.

for a meeting or a visit, yes.

"renvoyer" for postpone is often use for a trial, but the idea is not just postpone, it's "add something more : time, informations, witness, judge, ...."   it's not used in another way for postpone.

"remettre" is not exactly postpone. We have a meeting today, and it's was nice and I suggest to do the same meeting the next week.
