Hi folks,

I have following paragraph translated. It involves some legal terms.

She worked on a legal firm (hereinafter refers to the 'Firm'). The core business of the Firm mainly involved incorporation of public company. A limited company expecting to go public will approach the Firm for assistance.

Elle a travaillé à une société juridique (appelle ci-après comme 'la Société')

OR
Elle a travaillé à une société légale (se rapporte ci-après comme "la société")

This phrase (hereinafter refers to as the 'Firm') is correct in English.

The core business of the Firm mainly involved incorporation of public company.
Le coeur de métier de la Société a surtout impliqué l'incorporation de société anonyme par actions

OR
Les activités de base de la société ont principalement impliqué l'incorporation de la société anonyme

Public company = "société anonyme par actions" OR "société anonyme" in French ?

A limited company expecting to go public will approach the Firm for assistance.

Un société anonyme comptant aller public approchera la société pour l'aide.

OR
Une société à responsabilité limitée s'attendant rendre publique s'approchera de la Société pour l'assistance

Elle a travaillé dans une société s'occupant d'affaires juridiques (nommée "la Société" ci-après)
OR
Elle a travaillé dans un société touchant au domaine juridique.
OR (sounds better, but doesn't use the words société)
Elle a travaillé dans le domaine juridique.
(société juridique doesn't really fit)

The core business of the Firm mainly involved incorporation of public company.
Le coeur de métier de la Société a surtout impliqué l'incorporation de société anonyme par actions
OR
Les activités de base de la société ont principalement impliqué l'incorporation de la société anonyme
Le centre d'activité de la Société se focalise principalement sur la constitution en société anonyme.
(incorporation is also correct, but when it comes to legal matter, constitution is the right term)

A limited company expecting to go public will approach the Firm for assistance.
Un société anonyme comptant aller public approchera la société pour l'aide.
OR
Une société à responsabilité limitée s'attendant rendre publique s'approchera de la Société pour l'assistance
Une société à responsabilité limitée souhaitant être cotée en Bourse fera appel aux services de la Société.
(to go public = être coté en Bourse)

That is good, short and precise. Thanks

I also made a typing mistake in the English version. It should read;
She worked in a legal firm (hereinafter refers to the 'Firm')

"in a legal firm" NOT "on a legal firm".

Is it;
se focalise = involved

past tense?

What does 'se' mean here?

To incorporate public company
constituer une société anonyme

OR
constituer la société anonyme

(to go public = être coté en Bourse)

se focalise = involved
past tense?
Sorry, it should be:
Le centre d'activité de la Société se focalisait principalement sur la constitution en société anonyme.

What does 'se' mean here?
"se" here comes from the partitive verb "se focaliser (sur)" which means "to be focussed on".

To incorporate public company
constituer une société anonyme
OR
constituer la société anonyme
Actually it's really "constituer en société anonyme.
"constituer en":
Ils se sont constitués en association --> They formed a society
"constituer":
constituer quelqu'un président --> to appoint somebody as or to make somebody chairman

They must be in combination ?
Not always. See my second example (constituer quelqu'un président).

Here what is the meaning of "se" ?
constituer is a transitive verb. On constitue quelque chose.
"constituer une société en société anonyme"
"se constituer en association"

It is NOT a typical translation. Though I understand its meaning.

to constitute itself in association
Is it to form an association ?

on behalf of the limited company to the Companies House for registration.
au nom du société anonyme à la Chambre de compagnies en l'enregistrement

TRANSLATION
La société préparera la formalité légale et contrôlez les livres de comptes à vérifier si la société anonyme est éligible de être coté en Bourse. Alors la société soumettra tout le document légale au nom du société anonyme à la Chambre de compagnies en l'enregistrement.

La Société préparera les formalités judiciaires et examinera les livres de compte afin d'établir si la société à responsabilité limitée est cotable. La Société soumettra alors tous les documents légaux au nom de la société à responsabilité limitée au registre du commerce.
(cotable = susceptible d'être coté en Bourse)
(Company House = registre du commerce)

Why here use "judiciaires" instead of "légale". The document is NOT used in court case.

What is the difference between "la société à responsabilité limitée" and "la société anonyme"?

Why here use "judiciaires" instead of "légale".
légal sounds more like "licit, lawful". Here "judiciaires" sounds better.

What is the difference between "la société à responsabilité limitée" and "la société anonyme"?
limited company --> société à responsabilité limitée
public company --> société anonyme
