The French word 'installer' means 'install' in English and the word 'galerie' means gallery.
We say, for example, art gallery where you can see the paintings.

Well, "galerie" is not only an art gallery.

It's also a set of rails or metal bars you fix on top on your car's roof, in order to carry skis, boards, bikes, large bags, etc. You can also fix a roof trunk on it.

Another designation is "barre de toit".
