In the dictionary's first meaning, it's said to mean "to drag, to lead, to pull, carry along."  Is it ever used to mean this literally?  The only example given was this:     

Il se laisse facilement entraîner par les autres.  He's easily led.  

entraîner qn à faire qch      (=inciter)   to lead sb to do sth
