emballer

I'm familiar with "emballer" to mean "to pack."  

the dictionary says it's also used informally to mean "to thrill" - "Ses idées ne m'ont pas emballé - I wasn't thrilled by his ideas."  Is this heard?  They then give "emballement" which surprisingly is defined as "a flash of enthusiasm or anger."  enthusiasm makes sense, but not anger unless "emballer" used this way connotes more that it elicits a strong response.  

additional informal meanings listed:  to seduce, pick up; to arrest; to nick (Americans don't use the British informal word "nick" for stealing an item from someone).  Are any of these heard?
