I googled the following sentence but nothing comes up so i don't know where i found it.

i can't find this usage in the dictionary.  i could say "a cause de lui" but is it correct to say "du a lui?"  Tx

is it correct to say "du à lui ?"

yes and no.

Yes because "du à" can mean "grâce à lui"  or "à cause de lui".  In your sentence it's "grâce à lui".  The meaning is ok.

But no because the form is a little wrong.

(if lui = someone else then lui is before "sont")

(if lui = himself, it must be clarify by "lui-même")
