Another confusing one... I know the basic meaning of brouiller and se brouiller, as well as se brouiller avaec qqn... But I've come across this phrase in a passage of a novel where a couple are having problems, she gets cross and wants to snap at him, but doesn't - and at this point it says '...son exasperation est telle qu'elle aimerait lui repondre beaucoup de choses. Mais ca se brouille.' I'm having trouble putting my finger on a good translation for ca se brouille - any ideas? I wondered about 'But there's no point'/ 'But that would make it worse'/??? Not very literal but...???

Merci de vos idees!

Clare

Can we maybe have the whole sentence, or couple of phrases?

With just that, I'll go for 'it's getting confusing'. You can speak of the eyesight getting blurred when you say 'sa vision se brouille'

Hi,
