Aidé moi s'il vous plaît!

So in an hour and a half I have a placement test in my french class to see if I can remain in 2nd year! I haven't taken the language since high school and am very rusty, however I know I can work hard enough to keep up with this class. I'm supposed to prepare by practicing writing about my summer vacation. Please help me pass by correcting any errors here!

Relation of verb and noun

is the verb complement the noun.
e.g. sont-il dans la cour? in this example putting il or elle is according to cour or something else?

What's the french for "Are you" in plural?

Vous-etes is a translation for sigular person but if we want to say"are you John's friends?" how would we say it and hello to everyone because i am a new user.
