bonjour........ plz tell me ........ imperfect tense signify... action continue , description,habitude... and passe compose is action completed . eg; plz explain this phrases.. 1- il a pleuvait quand elle est sortie de chez elle. 2- il faisait beau donc nous sommes sortis pour nous promener dans le parc. is this phrase right i think promener verb is in correct ....and is this right after the preposition second verb is in infinitive form. plz help me thx .

Hello Shagun,

The first sentence should be "Il pleuvait quand elle est sortie de chez elle". No auxiliary ("a") is required for this tense.
The first verb should indeed be at the imparfait tense, while the second one should be, as you wrote, at the passé composé.

It was raining when she left home.

Notice that in English, you also use two different tenses. One of a continuous action, another one for a completed action.

Your second sentence is perfect. Indeed, using the infinitive form is the right thing to do here.
