Hi Karen -- some pointers for you:
In (3), you use quel(le) when it's followed directly by the noun. In a case like this where you're saying "Which of...", use "lequel" etc.
In (6) you can't have "que" directly followed by "est". Basically, you want to say "what/which" when it is the subject of the sentence: there are a couple of possibilities...
In (7), there are a couple of problems here. If the idea was "What...", then you would need the French for "what" as the OBJECT of the question. Here you've got "what" if it was the SUBJECT. But... the answer is a person, so you need the French for "who" when it-s the subject of a question.
In (8), your question as it stands means "What does this terrible noise do?" -- i.e. "what" is the object. What is intended is for "what" to be the subject.
(9) The intended meaning is "what does this word mean?", so you can't use a word for "who".
Hope that helps!
