I have a book of recipes from Brittany and one of them asks for 2 verres de sucre and 2 verres de farine. How much is a verre in gramms - does any one know ?

Usually "un verre" = 1 decilitre (of water) = 100 gramms (of water). I don't know how many that is for sugar, but that's what you can put in a 1 decilitre glass.
Thanks - I'll try 100 gramms
These web pages summarize equivalences:

Looks like "un verre" is 20 cl, ie. 2 dl.

1 verre
= 2 dl de liquide
= 120 g de farine
= 100 g de fécule
= 180 g de riz cru
= 140 g de semoule
= 150 g de sucre semoule
Oops I'm sorry if 1 dl is wrong, but I've book that says that 1 verre = 1 dl. It's pretty confusing...
Looks like it's 2 dl. Confirmed by my sister who's working as a chef :)
Well then I'll trust your sister :) and maybe buy a new book too ^_^
