Quel goujat, ce Leon!

That is the chapter title of my conversation book (which I have trouble interpreting)

This chapter 1 goes like this.

There is two women gossiping about a hateful co-worker, Leon.

And one asks the other what  does your boss do when Leon acts like a idiot at the meetings.

She answers - Bernard? Il se tait, c'est tout! Il attend que ca passe...

                            Ah bon?

                            Oui. Il n'intervient pas beaucoup dans les reunions, il laisse faire.

                      Je pense qu'il se sert de Leon pour faire le travail... le sale boulot, comme on dit.

I guess that 'il laisse faire' literally means that he let things just happen. But the next sentence....

Does it mean that she thinks that Bernard, the boss makes Leon do a difficult job?

I translated it using dictionary, but it sounds so weird.. Maybe I'm not getting the nuance.

And here's one more.

                           Eh bien, nous sommes gâtées avec nos colleques!

                         Oui, et je m'apercois que nous sommes dans une equipe qui ne fonctionne pas bien.

'We are spoiled by our colleagues?' - is this right? Sounds so weird, too.
