help with insurance direct debit paper

i have taken out French car insurance and have received verification of my direct debit. There is a cut off strip at the bottom but I am unsure what it is for.

It reads...Talon a joindre a votre reglement..can anyone advise what I am supposed to do with the strip once cut off....thanks.

"Enclose it with your payment" -- similar to the payment slips you'd get on credit card, utility bills etc in England.
