Bonjour, bonjour, will some kind souls out there give me the translation for the words "cultural clash" in french.

Well, it would be used in the context of explaining the difference in cultures among a multi -racial community and the cultural clash.

      merci d'avance.

I think "choc de cultures", "conflit de cultures" or just "conflit culturel" would all be possible in the context you suggest.

Merci Neil, ce website est vraiment marvielleux.

Yes, I do feel that is the nearest possible translation though I may be wrong.

Merci encore Neil.

( sometimes you tried to find the french words and it was like looking for a black cat in a dark room, finally you found the switch and switch on the light then you realised that was no black cat there.)

Salut Ryk,  merci de votre reponse.  On second thought I think "choc culturel" is easier to say. So it would be easier for me to say, "Il y a de choc culturel parce que les cultures sont radicalement différent".

I will have to wait till later when I encounter how the french use this phrase, however that day may never come.  I come across quite a lot of expressions on radio france that I find useful.

     Bonne Journée Ryk.

Hello,

just two little corrections :

Il y a un choc...

radicalement différentes

Oui  Erwan, on toujours oublier. j'espere que un jour je peux ecris français presque parfait.

Mais pour en ce moment j'ai mal à la tête.  Merci beaucoup pour corriger mon français.

Remember you can always Google expressions to see examples of how they're used. You don't need to wait for it to happen by accident...
