Hi folks,

Getting into a shop to ask permission looking around, can I say;

Peux je regarde autour de la magasin ?

Or just;

Peux je regarde autour ?

Merci

Hi Stephen. "around" is one of those words that change the meaning of a verb in English, but that you can't translate literally in another language.

You can just ask: "est-ce que je peux regarder ?".
Or better, use the expression "est-ce que je peux jeter un coup d'œil ?" (= take a look).
Hi Frank.

Thanks for your advice.

Noun coup d’œil m. = glance, look
