This sentence kind of confuses me...
I have a paragrah I need to do for homework, but I wasn't there for the lesson, and this sentence is confusing me a little.
"J'épargne la moitié et avec le reste j'achète des frangs."
It's just the last part that's getting to me. Please can someone explain this sentence to me?

Perhaps by the last word they mean "fringues" (a slang word for "clothes")?
So then the meaning would be "I save half and use the rest to buy clothes".
