New items added to French grammar section
Readers may be interested in a few new pages that have been added to the French grammar section of the web site. These sections deal with how to translate certain common, "awkward" words of English into French, for example "how to say 'can' in French"? These sections introduce the grammar points needed to cover those particular words, rather than starting from the point of view of a list of "abstract" grammar sections. As usual, suggestions for additional sections of this type are always welcome.

this is great! thanks for this wonderful resource. I especially love reading all of your explanations that deal with linguistic and historical reasons behind why certain things are the way they are. Did you go to school to become a linguist or have you just pursued linguistics as a personal passion?
