french sales - 'was' and 'now'

I wonder if anyone can help....

I am doing a French translation and need to know how they say 'was' and 'now' referring to sales in shops, for example - blue top - was £24.99, now £19.99.

I currently have used était and maintenant as could not find any info anywhere on the internet about this!
