Brushing up my French!
Bonjour!
I'm trying to help my daughter learn French, and sending emails seems like a good way to begin. However, although I can read French perfectly well, it's been years since I tried to speak colloquially.
For example, how would I say "I enjoyed chatting with you last night" ?
And where, on this website, is the best place to go to brush up on casual French grammar, vocabulary, etc.?

Not really. "Je suis très jolie" would mean "I am cute", and it'd be a bit weird in this context.
"I enjoyed chatting with you last night" would rather be "J'ai apprécié parler avec toi la nuit dernière".

Possibly just something like Ça m'a fait plaisir de parler avec toi hier soir would be a bit closer?

That was my daughter-- and she is indeed "tres jolie" and considerably older than she appears in the photo-- but we take your point. ;-)
