My question is about the site.  I don't know where/how to find accent marks, and without them, I can't use the dictionary or translation service properly.  Au secours!

Use "alt" codes to make them (hold "alt" and press the number sequence, then release "alt"). These are the most commonly used in French:

à-0224

â-0226

ä-0228

ç-0231

è-0232

é-0233

ê-0234

ë-0235

î-0238
ï-0239
ô-0244
ö-0246
ù-0249
û-0251
ü-0252
The other ones fall in between, just guess until you find them. Bonne chance!
I must be doing something wrong.  I followed your directions, but all I get is a chiming sound when I enter each digit.  Frustrating!  Thanks for trying to help.
Gayle, use the number keypad not the numbers on the top row of the main kybd. That might work.

There is some information on the site about how to type accents.

That said, you shouldn't need to type accents to look words up in the dictionary: they should be found if you type them without accents. If this doesn't seem to be working, give me some example words that you're having trouble with and I'll take a look.
