porter sur - to be about
the dictionary entry for "porter" included this usage. i'm familiar with "s'agit de..." is "porter sur" used in conversation? the dictionary gave the following example:
Cette recherche, menée dans 3 pays, portait sur les défis de plus en plus importants qui affectent la...

I guess it would be a less common usage and I have not come across it in a conversational setting .
It doesn't mean quite the same thing as "s'agir" so it is a nice expression to have under one's belt.
