incommode

The dictionary has it as "inconvenient (hard to use)" and also "uncomfortable" (an uncomfortable chair).

So, I'm thinking that a machine or tool that's hard to use is "incommode." In English, "inconvenient" is most often used when something is too hard to reach, too far away. Is "incommode" used this way as well?

Incommode is old fashion french. Not used anymore as an adjective. The verb incommoder is still in use (bother, distrub)

For something that's hard to use we would better say : pas pratique ou pas commode (general meaning) if one want to be more precise there are much more appropriate adjectives (inconfortable, inapproprié, complexe.....)
