hey...i don't really speak french fluently. i have some french homework and i was wondering how someone would say: "there are too many people" and "there's plenty to do".
Il y a trop de gens and Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire.

You probably know the expression Il y a... for There is..., There are....
For too many people, a common expression is trop de monde. So you can say: Il y a trop de monde.
For plenty of..., a common expression is plein de.... Here "plenty" really means "plenty of things", so expanding this in French gives you plein de choses.
Then you need the construction "X to do". Usually, you can say this with à plus the infinitive (the "basic" form of the verb, without changing it for person etc). So for "plenty (of things) to do", you can say plein de choses à faire, and you end up with the full sentence: Il y a plein de choses à faire.
